The Calphalon brand has been around for a long time and is recognized for being a leading brand in cookware. I know that my wife sure does love what they make. Calphalon can cost a pretty penny for their name, but its worth it if you cook a lot, just ask my wife.
The Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick usually comes in a set, but you can buy the pieces individually. We are going to look at the different ways you can purchase the the set and what they are made of.
I first suggest that you purchase the 10 piece set that Calphalon makes for their Contemporary Nonstick product. It will save you money in the long run. This way you don’t have to buy the pieces individually over time.The set includes 1.5 and a 2.5 quart saucepans, a 3 quart saute pan, and a 8 quart stockpot that all come with lids. It also has a 8 and 10 inch omelet pan that’s included. All the pots and pans are hard anodized outside, nonstick on the inside, and very durable and easy to clean. They are also over safe for up to 450 degrees. You have to wash them by hand, but they do have a lifetime warranty.This set runs around $400.
The next piece that we will look at is the Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick 11 inch square griddle. This piece comes separately from the 10 piece set we mentioned. This piece is made with a heavy duty hard anodized aluminum outside that heats efficiently and evenly. It will cook on top of gas or electric burners for eggs, pancakes, or even quesadillas. It has a handle that will stay cool while you cook, so no burning yourself is needed. Its oven safe up to 450 degrees. It has a lifetime warranty and is recommended that you hand wash it.
Next is the Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick Stir Fry 10 inch Wok. This piece will cost you around $50. It has a line on the inside of the pan that will keep you from overfilling. It has a ergonomic handle that stays cool during cooking. It is also oven safe up to 450 degrees.
Until you have some of their products and use them for a while, you wont truly appreciate the Calphalon name. We are very big into cooking and she loves these pots and pans. We both read reviews before spending the money to buy Calphalon and everyone that had them loved them. It was one of those names that once you bought it, you would never go back. That is what has happened to us with our Contemporary Nonstick pieces.
